This is a wonderful 50s dress made with a fabric that is printed in a brown abstract design.  I’m not positive, but I think that the fabric is silk - if not, it’s some sort of very good quality material that has a bit of stiffness, almost like a paper taffeta.  This 50s dress is sleeveless and has a wide scoop neckline, defined waist and the skirt is cut full, like a circle skirt.  It is posed with a crinoline, but no crinoline is supplied, so if you would want the same flared out look, if you have to supply your own crinoline.  The dress does up the back with a metal zipper.  It is lined in white acetate above the waist, but the skirt is unlined.    

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 50s dress, and although this should fit a small size, or at least a small bust with a medium size waist - please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the dress:

Bust:  32”-33” around, taken at the underarms 

Waist:  28” around

Hips:  Full / 60”, meant to fall loosely

Length:  43” long, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours - this 50s dress looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
